What technique do you use for your custom caricatures?
I draw every caricature 100% by hand — India ink and watercolor on premium A3 art paper, in my studio in Bordeaux, France. Once finished, I scan it in high definition. Digitized, not digital. No AI, no tablet, no filters — pure traditional French craftsmanship.
Is the digital caricature drawn on a computer or a tablet?
No — this is a common misconception worth clearing up. “Digital” only describes the delivery format. The drawing itself is made with real ink on real paper, then scanned in HD and sent to you as a file. A digitized drawing is not a digital drawing — yours starts its life on paper, like all real art.
How long does delivery take?
Digital caricature: order before 6 PM ET and receive it by email the same evening — otherwise within 24 hours. Printed gifts (mugs, canvas, puzzles, pillows, posters): about one week total — 24h for the drawing, then 3–5 business days for US printing and free shipping from California & North Carolina. No customs fees.
Can you draw more than one person?
Absolutely — couples, families, work teams, friend groups, even the dog. Each additional person or pet adds $20 to the base price. Choose the number of subjects directly in the order form above.
What photo should I send?
A clear, well-lit photo where the face is visible and centered. Front-facing or three-quarter angle, good resolution — selfies work fine. For a surprise gift, any clear photo from social media works too.
Is this really hand-drawn, not AI?
100% hand-drawn by me, Sébastien Rieu — professional caricaturist from Bordeaux, France, 25+ years experience. Zero AI, zero filters. Digital orders even include a POV drawing video filmed with my Ray-Ban Meta glasses, so you can watch your caricature being drawn stroke by stroke.
