Bonjour. I’m Sébastien Rieu.
The person who answers your message is the person who draws your caricature. That’s me, in Bordeaux, France — with ink, watercolor and 25 years of experience.
I look for the little things that make someone unmistakably themselves. A smile. A raised eyebrow. The dog who thinks he’s in charge.
Every drawing made by hand. No AI. No photo filters.
“That is so them.”
That’s what I’m after.
A good caricature catches more than a face. It catches the expression you recognize, with a little humor and a lot of attention.
Come around
to my side of the paper.
Here’s how the work takes shape: pencil lines, ink, then transparent washes of watercolor. Watch the drawing happen, from the first marks to the finished portrait.
Caricature artist, portrait artist, painter and comic-book author: they’re all parts of my life. Sometimes I exaggerate a smile. Sometimes I take my time over the light in a pair of eyes.
Your caricature starts with your photos. After payment, I send you a sketch. We can adjust it before I create the finished drawing.

There’s always
another little story.
My studio is in Bordeaux. Paris has a place in my drawings, too: café terraces, busy squares, curious characters and the spirit of Montmartre.
I’m also a published comic-book author. Whether it’s a city scene or a single face, I enjoy finding the story in the details. Take a closer look at this drawing of Place du Tertre.
A little of their personality.
Something they can keep.
