That moment is why I love caricature. The drawing catches something they recognize — an expression, an attitude, a little of their personality.
These reactions were filmed at live events. For a drawing made from your photos, we start with the person and the story you want to tell.

Bonjour,
I’m Sébastien.
Sébastien RieuCaricature artist, portrait artist & painter · Bordeaux
I have been drawing people professionally for 25 years. Sometimes I exaggerate a smile; sometimes I spend my time on the light in a pair of eyes. Caricature and portraiture are both part of my work.
I work with pencil, ink, watercolor and paint. When you write to the studio, you speak directly with the person who will make your drawing.

How is my personalized gift made?
I draw your caricature from the photos you send. The drawing is then reproduced on your selected mug, tumbler, socks or other gift. The product page explains the personalization included and the available options.
Does the portrait come framed?
The frame in the opening display is a presentation suggestion. Please check the selected artwork’s page for the actual format and any framing options.
Can you draw from a photograph?
Yes. Custom commissions can be made from your photographs. Send clear, well-lit images and tell me what matters most about the person you want portrayed.
Do I have to choose a caricature?
No. I also draw realistic graphite portraits and create original paintings. You can choose a humorous likeness, a faithful portrait or talk to me about something in between.
Will I receive an original or a print?
That depends on what you order. An original is the actual signed drawing or painting. Printed gifts reproduce your artwork on the selected product. A digital file is delivered by email. Check the chosen product page for its format, price and delivery details.
Who would you like me to draw?
A person, a memory, an idea for a gift. Tell me what you have in mind.
Talk to SébastienWhat technique do you use for your custom caricatures?
I draw every caricature 100% by hand using professional Indian ink on premium A3 Bristol paper, plus watercolour for colour versions. No AI, no digital filters — pure traditional French craftsmanship from my studio in Bordeaux, France.
How do I order a caricature from a photo?
Choose your style in the online store, upload a clear high-resolution photo and place your order. After payment, I send you a pencil sketch for approval before inking and colouring. This step is included in your order.
How long does delivery take?
Printed gifts usually arrive in 7–12 days in total, including drawing, approval, printing and US delivery. US shipping is included. Express caricatures are delivered by email within 24 hours.
Can you draw more than one person?
Absolutely! Couples, families, work teams, friend groups — choose the exact number of people (and pets) on the product page.
Do you offer live caricature entertainment for events?
Yes — weddings, corporate galas, trade shows and private parties. High-quality caricatures drawn in just 4–5 minutes per guest.
Is this really hand-drawn, not AI?
100% hand-drawn by me, Sébastien Rieu — professional caricaturist from Bordeaux, France, 25+ years experience. Zero AI, zero filters. Digital orders even include a POV drawing video filmed with my Ray-Ban Meta glasses.
